St Mary's CEVA Primary School

Located next to the school in a purpose-built single storey building, we provide out of school care during term time only for children from ages 3-11 years of age.

Annette Sharpe runs our St Marys club which provides  breakfast and after school care for up to 24 children aged from 3-11 every school day. Annette has also worked at Bridge Farm pre-school and has many years experience in childcare. She has helped to create a warm, friendly, relaxed yet stimulating atmosphere for the children to enjoy before and after school. Having opened in 2011, St Mary's out-of-school club has already become a popular and invaluable resource for the parents and has received an excellent Ofsted report.

Our morning starts at 7.50am and we take them to classes at 8.50am. Breakfast is served between 8.00 and 8.30am and includes cereal, toast and fruit.

After school we begin at 3.30pm and finish at 6.00pm.

Every child reacts differently on finishing their school day. Some want to run around and let off steam, others want to get immersed into an art activity and others just want to unwind by chatting with their friends. Occasionally we might even get some that want to do their homework!

At our after school club the children are given the freedom to do activities in a safe and nurturing environment with highly trained professionals. If the children have any ideas of their own then we are always willing to listen and where possible will bring in the equipment to meet these suggestions. This is the reason why we  have a Wii console as so many children felt it was something they would enjoy with their friends.
